Map the audience before the agenda

Identify who is attending, what they already know, what they need to decide and what information they can act on. Physicians, pharmacists, patients, internal teams and commercial stakeholders may need different routes through the same programme.

Separate the message from the format

Start with the information or behaviour that matters, then choose the most useful format. A panel, workshop, case discussion, product demonstration or small-group session should each have a clear purpose.

Build accuracy into the creative process

Creative work should make the content easier to understand without changing its meaning. Bring the right subject-matter reviewers into the process early so the team can resolve issues before production.

Design for trust and attention

Trust is built through credible speakers, clear moderation, respectful language, useful questions and an environment that feels considered. The audience should never feel that entertainment is being placed ahead of the subject.

Plan the follow-up

Provide a clear next step after the event: access to approved resources, a summary, a learning action, a discussion with the relevant team or another useful response. Follow-up is part of the experience, not an afterthought.
